Directed by Birger Larsen (Murder:Joint Enterprise), Paul Wright, (The River Runs Red) Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (20,000 Days on Earth), the three-part drama series delves into the complexity of a murder in explicit detail. Staring BAFTA nominee Anne-Marie Duff (Suffragette, Nowhere Boy), Morven Christie (Dr Who, The A Word) and nominee of the Irish Film and Television Award’s ‘Best Supporting Actor’ Peter McDonald (The Stag), Murder casts the viewer as a jury member to decide on guilt and innocence as the protagonists speak directly with the camera and give their version of events. Each episode is a stand-alone story told through straight to camera interviews with those at the heart of the crimes. Murder is a fantastic case file for armchair detectives, not necessarily of ‘whodunit’ but of ‘whydunnit’.
